Pittura su Stoffa

Non vi capita mai che siano gli oggetti stessi o i materiali che trovate in giro che vi chiedono di essere usati come cavie per i vostri esperimenti?
A me sì! Mi dichiaro pazza, chè parlo con le cose, ma ci sono stoffe, cestini, scatole, riviste che proprio mentre sto per buttarle mi dicono: “ Ti prego non buttarmi via, non credi che sarei buona per tante altre cose?” E io ci casco sempre, mi faccio impietosire e finisco per accumulare di tutto…
E’ successo così quando la mia suocerina mi ha mostrato una tovaglietta da tè in cotone beige, a cui lei aveva fatto l’orlo a giorno da tempi immemori. Effettivamente il colore era un po’ spento e tristino, ma proprio mentre stavo per voltare lo sguardo sento: “Ma con dei disegni bianchi tutt’intorno al bordo come sarei?? E poi ho le dimensioni giuste per il tuo tavolo… Dai, prendimi con te!! Ti pregooooo!!”
E io decido così di cimentarmi in un craft che non mi ha mai preso molto, la pittura su stoffa. Ho pensato a una cosa un po’ zakka, un po’ scandinava, creando dei fiori stilizzati e semplici, tutti bianchi, per dare una rinfrescata a questo cimelio.



Così faccio qualche schizzo e poi creo dei timbri con una spugnetta della cucina, incollandoli sul cartone. La spugna però, non so come mai, sulla stoffa non lasciava traccia di pittura, così ho stivato i timbrini (me lo hanno chiesto loro!) e ho ritagliato una busta di plastica con il negativo dei fiori, per farne uno stencil. Purtroppo non ho foto degli stencil perchè si sono distrutti, la prossima volta userò dell’acetato (tipo le copertine dei listini rilegati a spirale).
Ho cercato di creare una composizione folta e movimentata, riempiendo alla fine gli spazi vuoti con dei puntini sparsi fatti con il manico del pennello.



Splish splash, una pennellata qui e una là, ecco il risultato!



La trovo fresca e primaverile… e sapete che è l’unica tovaglia che riesco a smacchiare perfettamente? Dev’essere il suo modo per ringraziarmi e dirmi che anche lei si piace!

It happened this way when my mother in law showed me a beige cotton tea cloth, which she hemstitched since time immemorial. Indeed, the color was a bit off and sad, but s just as I was about to turn his eyes I hear: "But with white designs all around the edge how I could be? And I have the right size for your table ... Come on, take me with you! Pleeease! "
And so I decide to try a craft that I have never taken very, painting on fabric. I thought something a bit Zakka, a bit Scandinavian, creating stylized and simple flowers, all white, to give a refresh this relic.
So I sketched and then create the stamps using a sponge in the kitchen, pasting them on cardboard. Sponge, however, do not know why, left no trace on the fabric, so I stowed the stamp (they asked me!) and I cut a plastic envelope with the negative of flowers, to make a stencil. Unfortunately I have no photos of the stencils because they are destroyed, the next time I will use 's acetate (type of covers of spiral bound).
I tried to create a lush and vibrant composition, eventually filling in the blanks with dots scattered facts with the handle of the brush.
Splish splash, a touch here and there, here is the result!
I think i’s fresh and spring ... and, you know?, that is the only cloth that can fully remove the stain? It must be his way of thanking me and telling me that she likes herself!
